We are particularly pleased about this, as we have been a sponsor since the very first festival. <\/p>\n<p>In 2015, the opening with SweetUno&#8217;s wall took place on our premises. And in this anniversary year, SweetUno is one of the artists helping to create this year&#8217;s festival highlight. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1361ab4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1361ab4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Metropolink's Monument Tower<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4828ec7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4828ec7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Germany&#8217;s tallest piece of urban art, the METROPOLINKS MONUMENTURM, is currently being created in Heidelberg. This summer, the 80-metre-high chimney tower of the Heidelberg municipal heating plant<br \/>will become Germany&#8217;s tallest piece of urban art. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8bccdd2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"8bccdd2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Pencil and art object<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1bd576a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1bd576a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The tower motif is a pencil: the simple tool combines many of the characteristics that Heidelberg stands for: Education, science, research, craftsmanship, art and culture. Since 2014, Heidelberg has been the first German UNESCO City of Literature and a member of the Creative Cities network. The ferrule is a typical identifying feature of the pencil: the iron ring holds the red eraser in place. &#8220;The pencil stands for technical and artistic design and for expressing oneself at any time. Everyone can use the pencil, without electricity, without Wi-Fi and the integrated eraser stands for a healthy error culture,&#8221; explains Pascal Baumg\u00e4rtner, director, curator and initiator of Metropolink.   <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The internationally renowned artists Case Maclaim and Stohead, Mina Mania and SweetUno will design the tower.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>A total area of 1,500 square meters at a height of around 80 meters is being designed. We are looking forward to the result. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The festival takes place from 25.07.-03.08.24.
